Overview
Come join our growing team here at Burlington Stores as an HR Talent Systems Manager! This associate is responsible for leading the technology solutions and team supporting our recruiting, performance management, and learning management systems. This position will report directly to the Sr. Manager, HR Talent Systems; and will work closely with HR leadership that lead the functional areas and leadership in our stores, corporate and distribution centers. The HR Talent Systems Manager will lead a team of Talent Systems Analysts and Specialists focused on continuous improvement and designing system configurations to support various business requests.
Main areas of responsibility:
Responsibilties:
Leadership (40%)
- Create a collaborative and engaging environment for the team to be empowered and succeed
- Coach and develop the skills of the Talent Systems team members to ensure all projects and initiatives are communicated and managed to meet the business objectives
- Transform the Talent Systems support model and develop strong relationships internally and externally with various vendors
- Identifies areas of opportunity to improve efficiency and influences business leaders to adopt process changes
Talent Technology Management (30%)
- Workday Talent Management Module
- Responsible for overseeing system configurations to support business requirements focused on talent and performance management (Performance Appraisals, Performance Improvement Plans, Succession Planning, etc.)
- Proactively identify new features that could improve the associate/manager experience with an emphasis on improving our overall talent landscape
- Workday Learning Management Module
- Responsible for overseeing system configurations to support business requirements focused on the training and development of our associates
- iCIMS Recruitment ATS
- Responsible for overseeing system configurations to support business requirements focused on attracting top talent to join our growing organization
- Other Talent Technology Solutions
- Manages relationships with external vendors that integrate with our Applicant Tracking Systems
Process Improvement & Implementation (30%)
- Identify inefficiencies based on analysis and develop recommendations based on the findings
- Collaborate and influence business stakeholders to drive alignment and implement changes
- Model a continuous improvement mindset to continue to evolve our Talent landscape from systems to operational processes
- Lean into technology to find future efficiencies
- Assist the HR Talent Technology leadership team in identifying an internal inquiry platform that can integrate into our existing processes to enhance our associate experience
Skills and Competencies:
- Experience working with and influencing executive level IT or business unit management, including working closely in the development and implementation of large-scale systems.
- Experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale technical projects from conception through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive level presentations.
- Strong project management skills; time management skills; multi-task and prioritize workloads; demonstrated analytical capabilities; effectively identify and resolve problems in high visibility, high stress situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, translating technical requirements into functional applications and provide solutions.
- Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement desirable, involving broad-based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.
Requirements:
- Previous Workday and/or large HR Technology solutions preferred
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Excel functionals
- Previous leadership skills including developing, training and coaching a team
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) required
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years management experience
