What you’ll be able to do:
  • In this newly created, high impact role, you will be the HR M&A subject matter expert for Ford.
  • Lead the design and delivery of the people strategies to support the incubation and launch of new businesses including evaluating potential partners, organization design and talent strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders at all levels and strategically partner with the Total Rewards team to deliver talent strategies for key business opportunities and initiatives.
  • Leverage broad business acumen, project management, people analytics, change management, systems thinking and employee experience insights to deliver deals that optimize the performance of new businesses in a global, fast-paced, competitive, complex and uncertain environment.
  • Identify project risks/gaps and create risk mitigation plans.
  • Lead the development of our HR M&A playbook.
  • Contribute as a strong, positive, visible leader for the HR team in the New Businesses Platform as well as the broader HR team at Ford.

Minimum requirements we seek:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant and successful HR M&A project management and consultation experience with complex transactions using change management in a fast-paced, global and dynamic organization.

Our preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or MBA with a concentration in HR or a related field
  • Experience standing up new businesses, start-up through public offering, spinning into and out of larger entities.
  • At least 2 years of experience directly working in two of the following roles: Compensation, Benefits, Talent, HR Business Partner
  • Comfort with ambiguity, motivated to solve complex problems
  • Strong decision-making ability using a data driven approach
  • Strong executive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build high trust relationships
  • Highly organized, exceptional time management and ruthless task prioritization
  • Proficient in project management
  • Action-oriented with a focus on speed, calculated risk-taking and simplicity
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced environment, and to juggle multiple projects with flexibility and optimism
  • Experience in a unionized environment
  • Experience using Design Thinking and Agile practices
  • Experience partnering with senior-level executives
  • Knowledge of employment law and M&A legal considerations
  • HR experience in automotive or tech
