What you’ll be able to do:

  • Responsible for running all Human Resources functions for plant management, hourly and salaried employees at the facility
  • Drive and support the development of the Human Resources team
  • Support, mentor and counsel operating managers / salaried employees
  • Guide and influence Operating Committee on people issues including the annual people cycle plan
  • Lead / Support the implementation of Ford Production System (FPS) to drive standardized processes and procedures
  • Manage Union/labor relations and hourly personnel administration
  • Partner on UAW contract negotiations and administration
  • Drive organization and personnel planning
  • Administer all salaried personnel matters
  • Work with personnel relations / EEOC
  • Collaborate with team on recruiting and hiring
  • Support Health and Safety, Training, Medical and Workers' compensation
  • Monitor communications (hourly and salaried)
  • Participate and drive community initiatives and relations
  • Serve as an interface for local government as required
  • Manage the grievance process

The minimum requirements we seek:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 20+ years of experience with HR salaried processes including, but not limited to compensation planning, personnel relations, performance management, employee coaching/counseling, employee engagement, employee development, organization development and workforce planning.

Our preferred requirements:
  • Master's degree
  • Presence to successfully represent Ford Motor Company and talk with government agencies and other external organizations
  • Demonstrated experience with delivering HR process improvement actions.
  • Ability to guide and influence all levels
  • Demonstrated conflict leadership skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
  • Ability to work closely and successfully with others in order to deliver results Depth and knowledge of Ford labor relations practices, including but not limited to grievance administration, negotiations, union relations.
  • Confident communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Conflict management skills
  • Team oriented, strong drive for results
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, empower and develop employees
  • Previous manufacturing plant experience
  • Systemic thinking and strategic planning skills
  • HR Business Partner experience including project management, change management and/or organizational development
  • Knowledge and background in Change Management
  • Experience working with union in manufacturing environment with daily interactions with union staff, hourly employees and leadership
  • Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
  • Self-starter with multitasking experience within a fluid, dynamic environment, including ability to handle time and resources.
