What are we looking for?
The Assistant Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources Lead and Human Resources Director. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook.
- Works to administer the 360-degree performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.
- Performs benefits administration: assist with open enrollment, benefit questions from employees, and communicating benefits information to employees.
- Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report, VETS4212 report and Affirmative Action Plan annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

- Experience with Sharepoint and ADP a plus

Education/Experience:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Plus, 3-5 years of professional experience in human relations.
Salary:
- The salary Range for the HR Assistant is $50k-$60k.
