Job Description
Sense is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented HR Generalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area to run point on creating a fantastic candidate and employee experience, as well as own day-to-day operations on the People Experience team. Our ideal candidate takes initiative, constantly iterates and improves processes, is organized to a tee, and will live and breathe our company values. This role reports to the Director, People Experience.
**While currently remote due to COVID, this role will be an in-office, San Francisco based position once we return to the office upon appropriate guidance.
What You'll Do:
Be the primary point of contact for employee questions (Benefits, internal policies, HR partner and advisor).
Develop and run Sense’s employee recognition program.
Run our quarterly company surveys and assist with analytics of results.
Support the performance review process by partnering with managers on employee development and assisting with deadlines.
Maintain accurate employee systems, files, and record/grant new hire access for technology systems and software licenses.
Be responsible for the employee lifecycle and running a best-in-class onboarding orientation and offboarding program.
Ensure the timely processing of payroll and related changes.
Possess general knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, staying updated on compliance, best practices, and trends in the tech industry.
Support our Talent Acquisition Team with candidate communication and scheduling.
Will assist with the smooth transition to in-office work once it’s safe to do so in 2021.
Partner with managers to plan team socials and events.
Some office duties as needed
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related function
3-5 years of progressive HR Coordinator or Administrative experience
Proven track record of being responsive to employees and promoting a fun, collaborative work environment.
Ability to use sound judgement, discretion, and escalate issues when appropriate.
Start-up experience is a plus
