Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:
The HR Generalist provides strategic and hands-on support for the HR function in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, immigration, benefits, compensation, and training in a fast-paced, evolving production environment.
Overview of Duties:
Conduct employee onboarding (when needed) and help organize training and development initiatives
Provide support to employees in various HR- related topics such as leaves, policy explanation, compensation and resolve any issues that arise
Responsible for Company Compensation Management
Responsible for Benefit Strategy and Management
Promote HR programs to create an efficient, inclusive, and conflict free workplace
Assist in development and implementation of Human Resources Policy
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics ex. Headcount, absenteeism, and employee turnover rates
Create and manage weekly headcount report as well as monthly report
Manage the FMLA and Unemployment claims
Assist in the creation of new employee job descriptions and maintain current job description and Company Organizational charts
Stay current with local, state, and federal HR laws, legislation, and trends and maintain compliance with each
Provide Workforce Analytics and Employer Benchmarking by Region (Qtrly)
Prepare and maintain all updated organizational charts
Professional and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or two to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Ability to work independently in the best interest of the employee and the business
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Driven approach to and passion for talent acquisition initiatives
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Knowledge of principle and best practices for recruitment and selection
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
