WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Director, Human Resources for Gilbarco Veeder-Root will provide strategic and operational HR support to multiple global functions including Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Accounting, IT, HSE, and the Vontier Business System teams among others. This entails the implementation, execution and change management of organizational design, talent and development strategies and programs for multiple global functional client groups of significant complexity with the goal of sustainably and competitively positioning GVR to address talent challenges to meet future business objectives.

HOW YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL:
To accomplish this, the Director, HR will work closely with the leaders and HR teams for each global function in local constituencies. Projects may include the areas of organizational design, talent planning, talent development, early talent development, engagement, retention, compensation and succession planning. This position is a member of the global GVR HR Team, partnering with a number of HRBPs across the globe.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this role, your scope of responsibility will include:
  • Support functional talent review sessions and ensure goal setting, countermeasures, and staffing actions are deployed and managed for senior leadership functional talent across GVR and Vontier.
  • Deliver change management consultation to clients and drive change initiatives across the functions.
  • Lead in developing best practices and implementing policies and processes as applicable; collaborate with GVR leadership and global HR teams to benchmark and continuously improve HR strategies, processes, programs, policies and tools.
  • Support engagement & retention of employees.
  • Assist leaders and HR partners with defining and developing engagement action planning.
  • Drive and manage workforce planning and headcount management to align talent strategies with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with leaders and HR on internal movement decisions; transfers, promotions and job enhancements, ensuring that decisions are aligned with talent and skill gaps in development plans and career pathing while maintaining alignment with company leveling guides and policy.
  • Collaborate with leaders and HR team to assess talent in the team in conjunction with leaders and HR team. Have a point of view and drive critical talent upgrades.
  • Establishing successful relationships and collaboration and partnerships with GVR HR, peers, COE and Vontier HR.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED TO HAVE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience in human resources is required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years working in senior HR leadership capacity.
  • Global experience in multiple countries and cultures to understand the needs and challenges of leaders and their teams preferred.
  • Experience working in multi-national/matrix organizations.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication and consulting skills.
  • Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at senior levels in and across the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating senior leadership engagements.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness with building relationships and partnerships with peers.
