Job Description

Description:The Lockheed Martin Space Human Resources team provides strategic human capital support that aligns with the key priorities of the business.
The HRBP will be an integral champion of Lockheed Martin's culture and values; partnering with our business leaders on strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will consult with leadership, employees, and cross-functional groups to solve complex organizational challenges, and be an integral part of the client's leadership team.
The successful HR Business Partner candidate will be supporting Mission Areas within the Military Space Line of Business client group and partnering the Mil Space HR team and functional peers.

This is a hands-on role, requiring skills in both tactical and strategic Human Resources. Success in the position requires a track record of excellent judgment, strategic thinking, influencing skills, and results orientation. Critical to this role are: the capability to gain the trust and respect of executive leadership and employees while pursuing positive organizational goals and objectives, and the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with both HR business partners and Center of Excellence (COE) staff at multiple sites.

- Ensuring the successful execution of all HR initiatives
- Providing HR support in the areas of development & coaching, performance management, workplace investigations, developing and implementing talent assessment and development programs, and driving selection and retention strategies
- Influencing management decisions
- Delivering pro-active advice and counsel to leaders, while maintaining integrity with HR policy and practice and seeking creative solutions to problems
- Identifying and addressing employee relations issues promptly
- Providing support of tactical items to HRBP team while learning more about HR strategy

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Prior HRBP experience and/or COE experience in Staffing, Total Rewards & PM and/or Talent & Organizational Capability
- Demonstrated passion for customer focused relationships and partnerships; experience in influencing, coaching and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence change and serve as trusted advisor; experience supporting executive level clients
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects through full lifecycle (design, develop, implement) and deliver impactful results
- Proven experience in change management, such as driving change throughout the organization or leading a change effort
- Demonstrated HR process and technical knowledge pertaining to performance management, pay practices, Inclusion strategies, employee relations, employment law and FLSA.
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with complex data and leverage into solutions with clients; ability to present solutions to issues in a concise manner
- Overall track record of success as demonstrated by strong performance in prior related assignments
- Self-motivated and resourceful with focus on action closure
- Ability to travel as needed in support of client requirements
- Experience in organization design, organization effectiveness and leadership development, job analysis, and critical change management
- Professional HR certification and/or advanced degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or other related discipline
- Ability to operate with a high degree of integrity, urgency and confidentiality in challenging situations
- Excellent computer skills, experienced in MS office tools, specifically PowerPoint, Word, Excel
