The HR Business Partner I role acts as a strategic partner for assigned Retail Business Services (RBS) function(s) to drive customer-centric agenda through people & talent. This role drives overall business performance and associate engagement by proactively diagnosing issues and opportunities and taking the necessary actions to address issues. Supports the transformation of the organization through a strategic focus on people and business outcomes. Acts as a champion of the culture, providing advice and coaching to build the workforce for the future.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Function as key HR strategic business partner with assigned business leadership team(s) to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
Be a credible coach and confidant to those leadership team(s), as well as a strong associate advocate
Provide leadership, guidance and counsel on matters related to talent, organizational change, human capital, associate relations, engagement, etc.
Develop and execute HR plans, processes, and programs aligned with business objectives, including organizational design, succession planning, talent management/acquisition, goal alignment, associate engagement and communications
Provide guidance to leadership on talent management/development and succession planning to accelerate talent capabilities and bench strength to meet the needs of today and in the future while supporting our DE&I ambitions.
Support team in change management processes to positively impact organizational effectiveness; provides guidance and coaching to leadership team on change management.
Partner with internal HR COEs such as Talent Marketing & Acquisition, Learning, OD & Early Talent, Performance, Engagement, & Rewards, Strategic Workforce Planning & Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to address issues, develop comprehensive strategies and drive cultural transformation within the organization.
Consult with business leadership in the development of engagement action plans based on their Associate Engagement Survey results in alignment with business trends.
Provide basic analysis on HR treads/metrics and make recommendations to enhance the associate experience
Focus on operational excellence through innovation, efficiency, process excellence, and accountability.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
3-5 years’ experience in HR, with a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, associate relations, diversity, talent and performance management
Some experience comprehending, interpreting, and applying the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, policies, and practices.
Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation and project management skills with ability to work collaboratively with others
Experience in talent management, leadership development, performance management, and org development.
Able to create an environment of trust with teams where integrity is unquestioned; effectively utilizes negotiation and conflict resolution skills when needed
Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communications skills with all levels of the organization required
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
10-20% travel required

Preferred Qualification:
Professional HR certification (SHRM/PHR)
