For more information on our Benefits & Perks, click here!Summary:The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for making sure that Confluence Health facilities are properly cleaned on a daily basis. Position Reports To: Housekeeping ManagerEssential Functions:
  • Interviews and selects employees in conjunction with Housekeeping Manager.
  • Trains and motivates employees.
  • Conducts and documents regular performance inspections and reviews on all Housekeeping employees.
  • Provides statistical analysis, review and evaluation of budgets, staffing and productivity.
  • Assists with the discipline of employees as requested by the Housekeeping Manager and Facility Director.
  • Schedules and coordinates the activities of Housekeeping personnel.
  • Performs routine inspections of facilities for sanitation, order, safety and job completion.
  • Assures that Housekeeping staff follows established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
  • In rotation with the other Housekeeping Supervisors, provides weekend and holiday on-call support, responding to housekeeping staff calls and requests.
  • Communicates with other managers, administrators and clinical staff to adequately plan for Housekeeping services and activities.
  • Coordinates repair, maintenance and replacement of Housekeeping equipment with the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Provides consulting service, training and advice to outlying out-patient/clinical departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.Qualifications:Required:
  • High School/GED
  • 4 years relevant experience, 2 of which must be direct supervision.
    • Internal Candidates: 4 years relevant experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (predominantly Word and Excel).

Desired:
  • Bachelors' degree
  • AHE CHESP certification or equivalent.
  • International Executive Housekeeper Association (IEHA) certification or equivalent.
  • Housekeeping experience in a health care setting.
  • Floor Care experience.
  • Industrial based software experience.
