Housekeeping Staff

The South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA is unlike any other in the country. Our 60,000-square-foot facility is part of a unique collaboration that combines family recreation, education, sports, literacy, and wellness care on a single campus called “The Hill.” Hand in hand with our partners—St. Luke’s Health System, the West Ada School District, and the City of Meridian—the South Meridian Family Y will help us build A BETTER US.

Housekeeping Staff are responsible for creating safe and clean environment within the YMCA facility by being responsible for regular laundry, mopping and vacuuming, bathroom maintenance, and janitorial duties. The Housekeeping Department is expected to be proactive in keeping all areas of the branch clean, safe, and well maintained.

Key Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Experience in routine maintenance, janitorial machinery, and the application and safe handling of chemicals is preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:
Must have the physical ability to stand and walk for extensive periods of time as well as the ability to lift weight of 50 pounds or more. This position may require bending, stooping, leaning and kneeling.

Schedule Requirements:
This is a part-time position averaging 25-28 hours weekly. Scheduled hours are Monday- Friday 10:00-3:00. Alternating Saturdays 7:00am-12:00pm.
