Scope: The Housekeeper position is responsible for ensuring all buildings are clean, orderly and in good condition. Also, ensuring all the laundry is clean and put away as necessary. The work can be physically demanding. All services will be provided in accordance with established standards, principles, and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which CHS-Caliburn is recognized. Duties and Responsibilities: Clean rooms, hallways, and other living or work areas. Change sheets and make beds. Empty wastebaskets and take trash to disposal areas. Replenish supplies, such as soap and toilet paper. Dust and polish furniture and equipment. Sweep, wax, or polish floors using brooms, mops, or other floor-cleaning equipment. Vacuum rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture. Clean or polish windows, walls, and woodwork. Lift and move lightweight objects and equipment. Gather and empty trash and trash bins. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming them. Clean bathrooms and stock them with soap, toilet paper, and other supplies. Keep buildings secure by locking doors. Clean spills and other hazards using sponges and squeegees. Wash windows, walls, and glass. Order cleaning supplies. Completes minor maintenance in facilities such as changing light bulbs. Notify managers when the building needs repairs. Assists managing day to day activities and prioritizing tasks. Operates computers or tablets to access company e-mail, calendars, and timekeeping functions. Complies with all applicable CHS-Caliburn standards and guidelines. Attends and participates in department meetings and groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements. Performs duties in a safe manner. Follows the corporate safety policy. Participates and supports safety meetings, training, and goals. Ensures the safety and security of all UAC and the safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Meet the requirements of the contract for all immunizations (Emergency Task Order or Cooperative Agreement). Able to evacuate at short notice to accompany residents possibly to a different city for several days at a time. Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of housekeeping experience. Physical Requirements: Ability to ascend/descend stairs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Visual acuity required to complete paperwork and any computer work needed. Able to withstand changing environmental conditions with weather (rain, lightning, extreme heat and winds). Able to withstand and manipulate through construction areas, sports fields, etc. Ability to stand, pull, and bend; particularly for sustained periods of time.Caliburn International is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
