Housekeeper (Part-time M-F)

The Franciscan Sisters of the Poor are seeking a part-time Housekeeper to help maintain clean and healthy surroundings for all who visit, live and/or work at St. Clare Convent. The Convent is home to approximately 30 Sisters. This is part-time, Monday through Friday day shift position. Responsibilities include a combination of light and heavy/detail cleaning in common areas, meeting spaces, offices, restrooms, apartments and private rooms. Specific Task/Duties:

• Cleans assigned areas areas as scheduled by dusting, sweeping, dry and wet mopping, vacuuming, washing, wiping or scrubbing surfaces, upholstery and/or carpeting
• Replenishes and maintains needed supplies for areas serviced
• Disposes of trash and recycling in an appropriate manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Must have prior housekeeping employment experience, ability to work independently and remain motivated and excellent attention to detail. Position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
