We are a 123 acre ranch style residential facility for children. Housekeeper is part of our maintenance team and responsible for overall cleaning of all buildings, offices, restrooms, common areas, on site school, etc. Great work atmosphere, perfect someone with hotel experience. Monday through Friday day shift. Weekends off!!
Position Summary:
Responsible for daily cleaning, laundry, and general upkeep of cottages and other building assigned. Also performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the housekeeping department.
This position does not have direct reports.
Essential Functions
· Maintains a clean and sanitary environment of all buildings while adhering to OSHA guidelines pertaining to universal precautions, health and safety standards
· Assists in maintaining assigned cottages as outlined in the Founder’s Standards Guide
· Cleans designated outdoor areas
· Performs routine cleanings of resident bedrooms, bathrooms, cottages, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, restrooms, etc., in an overall clean, neat, and sanitary manner
· Uses and maintains housekeeping equipment and reports all potential safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
· Adheres to all established infection control processes including: hand-washing techniques, standard and precautionary isolation measures
· Sweeps, mops, vacuums, empties trash and recyclable materials, scrubs, and polishes floors and other surfaces to ensure cottages meet internal cleanliness guidelines
· Assists cottage staff in making beds, and laundry tasks as needed
· Carries out other various duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Understanding
· High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· At least 21 years of age

· Proficient verbal, written, and listening communication skills
· Effective interpersonal skills and demeanor
· Strong customer service skills and orientation
· Proficient in the use of a PC in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, PowerPoint
Abilities
· Ability to pass fingerprint background screening through the Department of Justice, FBI and Child Abuse Central Index
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Physical Demands
· Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
· Ability to frequently stand, see, hear, speak, and be physically flexible, walk, bend, drive; occasionally sit, stoop, reach overhead; and at times may climb.
· Ability to spend 65% of time outdoors, 35% indoors, withstand moderate noise levels including voice levels 90% of the time, extreme heat up to 111 degrees; wind, rain, cold weather
· Operate household appliances; to drive an automobile; occasionally work alone; work with others 85% of the time.
· Employees may be exposed to children who may ask inappropriate personal questions, display socially unacceptable personal behaviors, insult your physical appearance, age, sex, and race, use profanity, sexually explicit phrases, exhibit defiance, dishonesty, threats, accusations, and theft, assaultive behaviors and self-destructive behaviors.
Preferences
