Providence is calling an Environmental Services Technician (Part-Time/Variable Shift) to Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA.

We are seeking an Environmental Services Technician who will perform a variety of general cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital.

In this position you will:

• Demonstrate Providence Health System San Fernando Valley Service Areas core values of respect, justice, compassion, stewardship, and excellence to customers, employees, and visitors; and provides quality service in the performance of work assignments and duties
• Implement and maintain established department, unit, and hospital policies, procedures, and objectives as well as improve organization performance program, safety, environmental, and infection control policies
• Dust furniture, woodwork, equipment and dust mops floors. Polish and clean fixtures in utility rooms and bathrooms
• Operates mechanical floor cleaners, polishers and vacuums
• Wet mops rooms, halls, stairways and public areas
• Shampoo rugs and furniture. Clean vents, fan and other equipment using vacuum machines
• Clean fixtures, tops or windows, door frames and high areas using a ladder
• Gather and dispose of trash and waste materials
• Move furniture and other heavy objects as required
• Buff, strip, wax and polish floors
• Remove waste, soiled linens and recycle materials from work area and places in specified bags or containers
• Perform terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepare room for new occupant; follow universal precautions guidelines at all times
• Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls of bathrooms
• Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings
• Attend meetings as required
• Move, remove, and relocate furniture, furnishings, equipment, etc. as directed
• Set up chairs and tables, etc. for special events and fold and store them after the event
• Move large items in and out of storage

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
• Current LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire
• On the job training
