Job Description

Position:

The Hotel Sales Managers primary responsibility is to generate revenue and room nights, manage accounts, create high guest satisfaction, and solicit past and new business to meet top line revenue goals. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations, guest service, front office and reservations. Actively participates in the solicitation of sales, uphold policies and selling techniques with emphasis on maximizing Occupancy and ADR; network through participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.

The Sales Manager will also serve as the Hotel Operations Supervisor. The expected work schedule will be 10:30am to 6:30pm and will include most weekends as the Manager on Duty. This position will assist in supervising operations of the hotel, as well as assist the front desk during peak periods. The position will require some personal flexibility as work hours may vary depending on group and hotel occupancy.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with one to two year's employment in a related position.

* 2 - 4 years sales experience, hotel experience strongly preferred.

* Understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts.

* Proactive sales approach to selling, assertive and fast paced, results oriented.

* Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and in writing.

* Strong computer skills

* Understanding of market segments, competitor analysis, supply and demand.

* Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat clients using multiple channels, such as social media, outside calls, and telemarketing.

* Capture the client's vision and effectively convey the specifications to appropriate departments, rapidly responding to inquiries, concerns, and issues, ensuring an exceptional client experience and seeding future sales.

* Connect with people in a meaningful way, continually innovating to expand the reach with key corporate, business, and travel industry accounts, tapping into community organizations and the media to elevate the hotel's market share awareness and driving further business.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
