Job Description

Summary: Responsible for assigning guest rooms, checking guests in and out of the hotel and managing a cash drawer as it relates to group parties. Reconcile departed group accounts and delivers files to finance. Provide outstanding service to all guests.


Essential Functions:

  • Collect files from Group Reservations on incoming groups to pre-assign rooms, check-in groups, create keys and deliver rooming list to the Bell Desk.
  • Issue keys to the Tour Leader and collects payment/vouchers.
  • Assign guests accommodations in accordance with current policies and procedures.
  • Manage cash flow in assigned bank and performs account postings.
  • Reconcile departed group accounts and delivers files to finance.
  • Provide excellent guest service by handling all special requests and complaints until guest is completely satisfied.
  • Run various reports regarding group activity
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 6 months previous experience in same or similar role
  • Proven experience providing superior guest service skills required
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to use ten key adding machine by touch preferred
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Continuously standing (50% of the time)
  • Work indoors in a noisy environment (75% of the time)
  • Walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing and using chemical agents (less than 25% of the time)
