Job Description
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Frederick is currently seeking a Hotel General Manager as a part of the Plamondon Hospitality Partners team. The Plamondon family has called Frederick, MD home since 1980. It’s where their father started the business and where the company’s headquarters remain today. Frederick is a cultural hub for art, entertainment, dining, and shopping, and is centrally located near Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Gettysburg, making it an ideal tourist destination. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operation of the hotel property. Successful oversight includes but is not limited to:

- Exceptional customer service skills including quality standards for service and proven experience in leading a quality service-driven team.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Possess the fundamental competencies required for accomplishing work activities with Computers, Job Specific Computer Skills, Mathematical Reasoning, Oral Comprehension, Reading Comprehension, and Writing.
- Ability to contribute both strategically and operationally to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures for associate recruitment, selection, training, and development, compensation and benefits, and labor relations.
- Ability to build a skilled successful team that works toward guest satisfaction and other established goals.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other similar software packages.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, proper insurance coverage, a reliable vehicle for business-related travel.
- Ability to perform the physical aspects of the job including sitting, bending, climbing, standing, reaching, and walking for up to 90% of the workday and lifting and carrying up to 60lbs.
