Host/Hostess NEW Resturant/Hotel Opening (CAMPUS CORNER)

Noun Hotel is looking for a Host / Hostess to join the opening team!
NEW HOTEL / Restaurant
NORMAN, OKLAHOMA CITY.

Primary Purpose:

Host/Hostess in the Food & Beverage department. The host/hostess is responsible for welcoming guests to the restaurant and providing fast and courteous service to ensure an enjoyable dining experience and repeat business.

Host / Hostess Job Responsibilities:

• Greets guests in a prompt and courteous manner; seats guests ensuring a balanced workload among servers. Maintain accurate waiting list as needed. Alert guest when table is available.
• Explain and upsell our menus to Guests
• Answer phone calls to take any reservations or Guest inquiries
• May assist servers in clearing, cleaning, and setting tables.
• Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Always provides a professional image through appearance and dress.
• Perform other duties as assigned. In carrying out your duties you will follow all Company and Brand Standards
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or department manager.
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to lift 10-20lbs, and carry up to 50lbs.
• Bending/Kneeling - ability to bend to lower-level cabinets and banquet storage room.
• Continually moving at a fast pace
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a shift.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by guests.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Must work well under pressure and be able to prioritize tasks.
• Must possess strong computer skills.
• Basic accounting skills, handle cash and credit cards.

Required Prior Experience:
one year {1} of previous Host/Hostess experience

Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent

Language
Required to speak, read, and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.

Required Licenses/ Certification:
Food handling certificate.

Host / Hostess Qualifications

• Ability to Cross-train as Server and Barista
