Job Description
Job Purpose:
Welcome and warmly greet Guests on arrival, opening doors, escorts Guest to their table, provides menus to them once seated and informs Guests of the name of their server. Informs of any specials or features for the day. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our Guests to a table that best serves their wishes. Supervises the operation of the dining room during service meal periods, adjusts Guest seating flow to balance Guests between each service station. Gives Guests an accurate waiting time prior to their being seated. Manages Guest’s special seating requests, consistent with table availability. Relays messages to servers and bus persons, as appropriate. Assists with the duties of servers and bus persons as needed to maintain service effectiveness. Responsibility:
Greet Guests warmly and graciously with an open door upon their arrival.
Provide Guests with estimated waiting time.
Accommodate special seating requests for Guests whenever possible.
Seat Guests based on Guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
Check table settings for proper presentation and completeness.
Knows the numbering sequence of all tables.
Checks host stand for required supplies, crayons, coloring books, menus, etc.and communicates any deficiencies or needs to a member of the management team.
Upon seating, offer Guests a menu and inform them of their servers name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed.
Warm and genuine goodbyes upon Guest leaving - door opened for departure.
Protects establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages; cleaning chalkboards; lettering specials on chalkboards.
Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to guest spills or other special needs.
Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations.
Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
Updates job knowledge by participating in team member training opportunities.
Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Communicates with management what tools are needed to adhere to responsibilities.
Hourly checks and cleanings of rest rooms.
Education/Experience Required:
Must be a strong communicator, able to make eye contact and smile for long periods of time.
Must have great customer service skills, including the ability to sequence service and handle Guest complaints.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Must be able to be on stage - 100% of the time while on shift.
Must have exceptional grooming habits.
Working with a sense of urgency is required along with the exercise of good organizational skills and attention to detail.
For the Cashier position:
You will be responsible for greeting customers, taking food and beverage orders, up- selling and getting information to the kitchen and dining room.

- Collects cash, check and credit payment from customers and makes change for cash transactions, checks identification for personal checks and prepares voucher for credit card purchases.
