Position Summary:

Welcome and warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival and departure.
• Required to dress appropriately; fashionable, casual, not sloppy attire. Von Ebert Brewing shirts will be provided to ensure the above dress code.
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time according to Aloha guest manager and with the approval of the manager on duty
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Become fluent in the understanding of the restaurant’s table and seating numbers.
• Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in server sections.
• Maintain clean menus, tables, kid’s toys, floors, bathrooms and host/hostess retail area.
• Check the restaurant’s exterior every 30 minutes for debris.
• Upon seating, offer guests a menu, tell them to enjoy their meal and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and cleanliness.
• Relay messages to managers, servers and bus staff as needed.
• Thank all guests as they leave and invite them to return.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• No previous restaurant experience required.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with our guests.
• Must have exceptional grooming habits.
