The Hospitality & Package Management Associate will augment our Store team on a full-time basis to help with business activity within The Caribe Royale. He or she delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by expertly boxing and packaging the customer's product, receiving and processing packages for courier shipment, providing telephone support to customers, and operating point-of-sale devices to complete the customer's transaction. The Hospitality & Package Management Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.
The ideal candidate has previous shipping experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. In addition, the Hospitality & Package Management Associate must be willing and able to work a very flexible, full-time schedule including some nights and weekends based off of guest requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
- Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, The UPS Store team members, and leadership
- Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
- Helps customers with expert boxing and packaging, selling the appropriate products to ship materials safely and efficiently
- Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
- Provides prompt, efficient shipping expertise
- Provides completed documentation for shipping
- Answers phones courteously and provides accurate, detailed information
- Helps with other Store functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and binding
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Picks-up/Delivers incoming and outgoing packages for hotel guests and staff throughout the hotel and convention areas
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Shipping experience desired
- Able to help customers with boxing and packaging their materials
- Good communication and people skills
- Outstanding phone skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
- Able to operate a wide variety of business equipment
- Prompt, reliable, and responsible
- Able to lift 40+ pounds
- Willing and able to work a very flexible, full-time schedule including some nights and weekends based off of guest/hotel requests.
