The Hospital Privilege team processes privileging/credentialing applications for CompHealth providers who have been accepted to assignments where hospital privileges and/or credentials are necessary. The hospital privilege coordinator position tracks applications from providers to medical staff offices and assists in the verification processes required by hospitals where the provider must be privileged. This is done in accordance with CHG Healthcare Services corporate credentialing and privileging policies and procedures.

Your role::
  • Arrange hospital privileges and credentialing for providers according to client(s) medical staff rules and regulations or bylaws
  • Assist clients in getting all documents needed to process the hospital privilege/credentialing application including verifications of education, work experience and references prior to the start of an assignment
  • Coordinate with recruiters, provider representatives and candidates to obtain client’s required documentation
  • Responsible for completing all credentialing necessary to privilege providers at worksites
  • Communicate with sales staff on the status and outcome of provider applications
  • Provide direct support when necessary to the Credentialing Manager and other credentialing specialists Display a sense of urgency while remaining organized and paying attention to detail
  • Work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Process a large amount of documentation in a timely and professional manner
  • Prioritize and organize tasks effectively and independently
  • Other duties as assigned

Your qualifications::
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and web based applications
  • Make decisions with the best interests of our people in mind
  • Participate and share our point of view in an open, honest, respectful manner
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills in a faced paced team environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to meet numerous important deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and proven accuracy with record keeping
  • Ability to work independently
  • 2 years work experience in an administrative and/or customer service position
  • Work experience in the healthcare or staffing industries
  • Working knowledge of healthcare terminology
