Job Summary: Duties include but not limited to: provide clerical support for inpatient and outpatient services for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation department. Schedules patient appointments, check-in patients, verify demographic and insurance information, collect co-pays, make appointment reminder calls, and process incoming patient referrals. Provide other clerical duties as needed, including answering phones, scanning, copying, etc. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and computer skills required.

New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer.

To be considered for a Provisional appointment: Must have had one-year full-time clerical (in healthcare setting), secretarial (in healthcare setting), or patient care experience. ONLY experience in healthcare setting will be considered qualifying.

Schedule based on 40 hour work week. Monday-Friday Days with some holiday coverage required
