  • Manages the fiscal budget to include bed utilization, FTE planning and utilization and monitors operational expenses and sources of revenue
  • Oversees staff scheduling and ensures programs are maximizing staff utilization
  • Provides mentorship and training to supervisory staff
  • Provides supervision and guidance to all employees by communicating and ensuring compliance with organizational and Center standards and licensing requirements
  • Represent Devereux with families, community providers, regulatory, and funding agencies
  • Works collaboratively with other department directors, administrative, and supervisory staff

We are seeking a Full Time Hospital Director who will be responsible administer and coordinate, in conjunction with the Assistant Hospital Director, hospital operations to provide safe and effective programs and services for patients and their families. Management of the fiscal budget to include bed utilization, FTE planning/utilization and monitors other operational expenses and sources of revenue. Oversight of activities that enhance referral development. Facilitates cooperation with other departments/functions of the treatment team and/or administrative support services. Provides supervision and guidance to all employees by communicating and ensuring compliance with organizational/center standards and licensing requirements. Creates a work environment that encourages learning, skill acquisition, quality performance, and employee development.
Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) is located in Malvern PA and is the only freestanding children’s psychiatric hospital in Chester County, Pa. We are a Joint Commission accredited psychiatric inpatient hospital providing services to children and adolescents, ages five to 18, and their families, in acute mental health crisis.
Our treatment team, which may include psychiatrists, clinical case managers, nurses, teachers, licensed psychologists and clinical social workers, along with the family and child, work together to create a safety, stabilization and treatment plan that focuses on a successful discharge of the child back to his or her community, or lesser level of care. The majority of children stay at DCBHC between three days and 21 days.
Diagnoses may include: suicidal gestures and attempts, cutting and self-injurious behaviors, depression, aggression, psychosis, autism spectrum disorders, and/or drug and alcohol issues. Therapeutic approaches include:
  • Individual, group and milieu therapies
  • Behavioral management
  • Family therapy/counseling and support
  • Psychiatric, psychological and educational interventions
  • Problem-solving groups and community interventions

Qualifications:


EDUCATION:
Master's degree required
EXPERIENCE:
At least 10 years of previous supervisory and operations experience in a behavioral healthcare setting. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position). Strong organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Requires ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines. Valid driver's license must be maintained.
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children
The Federal Government COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires most staff working at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health- Children’s Behavioral Health Services (CBHS) to be vaccinated. In order to be employed at this center in this position, you must:
  • If vaccinated - provide proof of vaccination prior to start date.
  • If unvaccinated:
  • Receive the first dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine prior to providing any care, treatment, or other services by Dec. 5, 2021; and
  • The necessary shots to be fully vaccinated – either two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson – by Jan. 4, 2022.
  • Note: If you are getting the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, you must get this vaccine by Dec. 5, 2021.
