Home Equity Loan Coordinator
Working in WSECU’s Home Equity department you will be serving our members needs from processing, underwriting, preparing loan documents, funding and being the primary contact for all equity products. As a Home Equity Loan Coordinator you’ll be the primary contact for all members who apply for Home Equity Loans and responsible for reviewing and preparing the loan file to ensure accuracy and completion of supporting documents. You’ll be assisting members with the product that best fits their needs. Ready to learn more!
Your day might include:
- Assuring quality service and effective communication through responsive and positive interaction with all members, staff and vendors
- Receiving applications for all members who apply for Home Equity Loans
- Effectively managing multiple loans to ensure timely and accurate completion and review of applications, processing, underwriting (credit decision), preparing document packages, and loan funding
- Reviewing and analyzing all lending documentation received, determines acceptability with quality control standards
- Facilitating timely Home Equity Loan closings
- Supporting and contributing to the achievement of team goals
What you would bring to the team:
- Minimum of three (3) years of lending experience in any areas of originating, processing, underwriting or preparing closing documents
- Excellent member service experience
- Ability to be registered with the NMLS
- Analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability communicate professionally both verbally and in written correspondence
- Ability to effectively present complex loan scenarios to leadership for approval
- Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to complete income calculations and tax return analyses
- Ability to listen to questions and concerns and respond appropriately and accurately
- High level of initiative to produce accurate work in a high pressured, fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Bonus points if you have:
- A degree in finance or a closely related field
- Current working knowledge or understanding of mortgage processing/lending
- Experience reviewing property documentation such as AVM, appraisals, flood certifications and title insurance/policies
Competitive pay: $23.90 - $35.85 per hour, dependent on applicable qualifications

When you’d work: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Sat 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, with scheduling flexibility required to meet the needs of this full time Non-Exempt position
