JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly organized and effective Home Care Scheduler responsible to coordinate and maintain scheduling for Home Instead clients and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands and adheres to Home Instead Homecare policies and procedures.

- Creates and maintains staff schedules.
- Schedules client appointments according to caregiver availability.
- Creates and enters scheduling data.
- Contacts care providers and clients regarding day-to-day changes.
- Discerns client services required as outlined in agreements, urgent requests, and care plans.
- Enters caregivers and client information into the database.
- Maintains caregiver and client database.
- Maintains caregiver and client statistics, and reports.
- Maintains call–in and handles calls.
- Performs general office duties sorts/distributes mail, provides reception and telephone services.
RESPONSIBILITIES TOWARDS CAREGIVERS AND CLIENTS.
CAREGivers:
- Update CAREGiver orientation to include information about scheduling blocks.
- Clearly set expectations on block scheduling during hiring.
- Update CAREGiver handbook/website, ensure desired hours and availability are updated for each CAREGiver.
Clients:
Inform potential/new clients about shift/weekly minimums during care consultations.
If applicable, determine how to discuss the premium rate for schedule sunder per shift and per week minimums or outside of block scheduling.
Maintain:
Update and maintain CAREGiver availability changes.
Update and maintain desired hours in the “hours wanted weekly” field in the CAREGiver record in ClearCare.
Accountability:
Maintain an environment that is conducive to and supports the implementation and maintenance of block scheduling.
Track metrics:
- CAREGiver hours report: Are CAREGivers working at or near their desired weekly hours?
- CAREGiver Utilization: Is your overall utilization rate at 70 - 80%? Talk to your business performance coach to find out your rates from the CAREGiver utilization dashboard.
Develop advance scheduling.
- Schedule a mandatory CAREGiver meeting to launch advance scheduling.
- Define advance scheduling.
- Identify dates and deadlines for submitting changes to availability.
- Determine how to address policy deviations.
- Define expectations for CAREGivers and key players.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
