As a Histology Assistant you will support the Pathology Lab in a variety of functions including specimen processing and handling. You will provide clinical support as well as clerical support to ensure an efficient and seamless workflow.
- You will review procedures with patients/family members and answer any questions they might have regarding the procedure.
- Correctly process specimens assuring identification and proper labeling of specimens.
- You will log blocks and/or slides in appropriate log books and ensure samples are picked up and sent to appropriate facilities for processing.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Post High School courses in a medical related field preferred or Associates of Science degree preferred
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Specimen processing experience preferred
Full Time / 40 hours per week- Day Shift to include an occasional weekend shift
