You are a devoted English teacher who is dedicated to her students and excited to join our school community. You are flexible and willing to learn and easily apply feedback to best serve the community as a whole. The Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for educating students in accordance with New York State English Regents standards in preparation for the exam at the end of their junior year. In doing so you will prepare them far more than for just an exam but to be critical thinkers, fluid writers, and above all, to gain a respect for the written word and English language. You will create a supportive collaborative environment for students where they can ask questions and have discussions about analysis of text. You will help mold students to be strong critical thinkers through the mastery of the yearly curriculum and further the ability to not only answer the questions but understand why they are being asked. You will teach students how to dissect literature, understand new words and look for hidden depth, think critically and communicate with intention.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
