Health Unit Coordinator - Device Clinic, 1.0 FTE, Day Shift

The Health Unit Coordinator - Device Clinic is based in a clinic setting in contrast to the hospital setting. It falls under the direction of the Device Clinic RNs and requires sounds knowledge of the established Device Clinic policies and protocols. Coordinates communication between nursing staff, physicians, other departments, professional staff, patients, families relating to patient care.

The Health Unit Coordinator facilitates unit operations through knowing and communicating information, managing the desk area, and facilitating the use of technology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Computer and typing skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Effective communication skills; knowledge of data entry systems; the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; effective organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of medical and cardiology terminology

Preferred

• Previous experience in a health care setting helpful
• Experience with PaceArt, Cadence, API
• Knowledge of pacemakers and ICD devices
• Knowledge of Epic

*Must be available the first week of employment for HUC orientation that takes place Monday - Friday 8AM-4:30PM*
