Job Description

Specific Tasks: This position is located at Randolph AFB, TX.

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement all activities of the health promotion program, which may include but not limited to wellness screenings, educational classes, incentive programs, and health fairs.
  • Perform services such as finger sticks and other biometric measurements including height, weight, BMI/body composition, and blood pressure screenings.
  • Educate participants on health awareness and lifestyle modification.
  • Provide orientation and/or training to new and current staff to communicate new policies or changes in procedures.
  • Ensure that programs are staffed according to the scope of work and that work schedules are modified to meet fluctuating workloads needed to support the program.
  • Continuously evaluate programs for effectiveness and provide Progress Reports to support findings.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of health promotion topics to ensure all health education program materials remain current.
  • Coordinate and/or ensure that supplies, equipment, and files are maintained in properly secured storage accordance with provided guidelines.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills when working with internal and external customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the contractor Program Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Health Education, Exercise Physiology, And/or related field.
  • Three (3) years' of experience working within a health promotion program.
  • One (1) year management experience of a health promotion program and
  • At least one (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Current CPR/AED and first aid certification.
  • May require and/or need to obtain an additional certification based on specific customer needs.
