Job Description
Job Summary

This role will serve as the primary touchpoint between the Support Center, Market Managers, and Walgreens Health project teams. The Operations and Implementation Manager's primary focus is on program implementation and driving results. The role is tactical in nature. Responsible for developing and implementing processes across Walgreens Health Corner and DevOps teams. Identifies, evaluates, and resolves business issues. Defines process and operational improvements for assigned work areas. Works to resolve high-level, abstract problems across areas within the specified area of expertise. Works cross-functionally to direct operational activities within Health Corners. Ensures that processes, policies, and procedures are revised and implemented to address any identified operational issues. Knowledge and understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements and their respective business issues and potential opportunities is key.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manages and oversees efforts to achieve strategic and operational objectives for the Health corner business strategy. Identifies, develops, and implements appropriate approaches, processes, and tools that elevate the group's analytics. Leads and directs operational and implementation activities. Ensures policies and procedures are revised and implemented to address any identified operational issues.
  • Supports mid and long-term planning through the identification and creation of initiatives that further Walgreens and Walgreens Health's overall goals
  • Coordinates across teams to foster the exchange of ideas and provide cross-functional learning opportunities
  • Inspires and motivates team members to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives
  • Facilitates ongoing communication and transparency with leadership about shifting company priorities, projects, risks, and dependencies
  • Identifies potential problems and points of friction within processes and programs and develops solutions to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensures operational commitments are adhered to and takes necessary proactive measures before key milestones are missed. Manages the implementation process for all Health Corner programs while balancing partner needs and company objectives to ensure a successful/positive implementation for both parties.
  • Reviews Partner Health Plan Contracts to ensure operational requirements can be met and implemented.
  • Shares information cross-functionally to improve processes. Interacts with peers in management/customers/vendors to share information and improve cross-departmental processes.
  • Supports budget development for functional area. Manages budget to plan and is responsible for delivering against budgetary goals.
  • Stays abreast of industry-leading best practices and brings them to the leadership team's attention for possible application. Develops and leverages partnerships (and relationships) with internal and external stakeholders to meet business needs.
  • Oversees and manages all aspects of Health Corner operations. Allocates available resources to meet operating objectives. Ensures the ongoing training and development of Health Advisors and Market Managers.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of experience in business operations OR High School/GED and at least 5 years of experience in business operations
  • Experience developing strategic initiatives that align with business goals and budgets.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to improve results and find solutions.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using average function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: creating and modifying text styles, numbering and sorting lists, working with sections and columns, formatting tables, and using templates and using diagrams and drawing tools)
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: creating presentations, adding and removing slides, entering and formatting text, applying design templates, modifying masters, inserting graphics and objects, creating handouts)
  • At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Healthcare or start-up company
  • Experience working in Healthcare and/or Pharmacy Operations
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
