Families First of Minnesota has an opening for a full-time, full-year Head Start Teacher. This position is located at The Jeremiah Program in Rochester, MN. This position is primarily responsible for the classroom and implementing curriculum based on the children and families' needs and interests. This includes, but is not limited to, weekly lesson and activity planning based on approved curriculum, screening children's educational goals and implementing individualized plans. This position supervises the Assistant Teacher and Program Assistant in their assigned classroom.
This position requires a minimum of an Associate's degree (A.A.) in Early Childhood Education or a related field with qualifying coursework or experience in an early childhood setting. Head Start and Families First of Minnesota offers continuing education opportunities for individuals seeking to obtain an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in the field of Early Childhood Education. The individual in this position must meet Head Start Teacher qualifications.
This exempt position is scheduled 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30 A.M.-5:30 P.M. Compensation is based upon education level, starting at $22.68/hour.
