The Work You'll Do:

Sovos has been growing steadily over the past few years and our accounting team continues to grow with it. We are looking to add someone to lead our Revenue Management team globally. You will focus your responsibilities on global policies and practices related to the quoting and invoicing function as well as providing oversight of the U.S. revenue accounting group. This includes work including quoting, invoicing, billing dispute resolution, general ledger account reconciliations and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

What will you specifically do when you start?

  • Understand Sovos’ product offerings and convert financial reporting requirements into system executions, in particular application of ASC 606 guidelines
  • Perform duties relating to all aspects of revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and customer billings
  • Prepare technical revenue write-ups based on the review of contract interpretation
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure timely and accurate billing procedures are met and achieved
  • Manage the daily activities and the staff of the U.S. revenue accounting group
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives regarding internal accounting systems
  • Prepare monthly revenue and order management close processes
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations and financial analysis in support of the business
  • Act with integrity and demonstrates ethical behavior in all matters with all stakeholders
  • Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate initiative, drive, and determination to achieve results, success, and growth

What We’re Looking from You:

  • Knowledge of CRM and ERP systems integration required, SFPC and NetSuite preferred
  • Recent software revenue recognition experience
  • At least 10 years of relevant accounting experience and 3 years of experience managing or leading a team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a structured environment
  • Due to clients with federal contracts - one must have an ability to pass a background check and drug test
