POSITION SUMMARY
The head coach for men's basketball is responsible for directing all phases of a competitive NCAA Division III men's basketball program at DePauw University. This includes recruiting quality student-athletes, organizing and planning practices and game strategies, scouting, coaching, scheduling, budgeting, supervising assistant coaches, and planning team travel in compliance with University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. There will be a secondary responsibility of even supervision based on the needs of the University as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

- Understand and comply with NCAA Division III conference and University rules and regulations

Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred
Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in collegiate and/or significant coaching experience in the game of basketball required. Must maintain certification in first aid/CPR/AED throughout the entire appointment.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Google Apps, Front Rush, Hudl and other programs as determined by specific sport responsibilities
Communication/Language: Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Certificates & Licenses: A valid US driver's license is required. Certification in first aid/CPR/AED is required by the first date of appointment and must be maintained throughout appointment.
