Handyman Apprentice

Bear Service is currently seeking an ambitious, responsible self-starter wanting to learn an overview of the trades in a residential setting. This position will assist a handyman on the job, learning not only how to provide a top notch quality of service, but also how to provide excellent customer service out our growing customer base.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities:

• Safely drive the crew from job to job, ensuring they are on time
• Assist the Assigned Handyman repairing drywall, tile, baseboards, painting, installing fixtures and other small repairs in homes
• Complete needed repairs in a timely fashion
• Protect the customer's home while working & cleaning work area of all debris
• Promptly report any issues that may have come up during the day
• Provide superior customer service and offering comprehensive service explanations to the customer
• Clearly communicate the ideas and explanations of problems to customers and coworkers
• Maintain professional appearance (Company shirts provided)

Qualifications:

• Strong ambition and desire to learn the trades
• Provide your own standard hand tools
• Overview of the trades, preferred.
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Must have mechanical skills and willingness to learn new things
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Must be able to pass drug testing & background screen
• Must have a clean and valid driver's license
