We are searching for a Captain with at least 300 hours in the GIV series. Must reside in Thermal, CA.
Position Summary:
The Pilot-in-Command (PIC) has command and responsibility for the flight crew, passengers, cargo, the safe conduct of the flight, and provides guidance and coordinates activities of every individual connected with all phases of the aircraft operation. The PIC adheres to proper Cockpit Resource Management (CRM) techniques. The PIC reports to the Chief Pilot and indirectly to the Director of Operations.
Mountain Aviation is currently seeking a PIC in Thermal, CA with experience in Target Banner Towing, Stand Off Jamming, and Electronic Attack. Candidate must be available starting April 2021.
Salary: $100-105k/year
Schedule: 30day and 60 day rotations. CONUS AND OCONUS. TDY Missions
Essential Functions:
- Retain final authority for the safe operation of aircraft
- Direct the activities of the Second-in-Command (SIC), ensuring all flight crewmembers understand and complete their duties using appropriate CRM
- Ensure the assigned aircraft is airworthy and all proper documents are on board and is properly stocked for the trip
- Make decisions to the start, delay, cancellation of flight or deviation from planned destination when operating conditions dictate
- Prepare or supervise all flight plan considerations, including but not limited to, weather, performance, appropriate flight level, appropriate fueling, airport facilities, and navigational aids and flight following procedures are followed.
- Ensure the safety standards are met at all times
- Apply knowledge of Target Banner Towing, Stand Off Jamming, and Electronic Attack
Additional Duties and Responsibilities :
Work with SIC after completing a flight to ensure that the Aircraft is cleaned and prepared for the next flight
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Highly knowledgeable of the General Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, and other instructions pertinent to assigned duties
- Target Banner Towing, Stand Off Jamming, and Electronic Attack
Minimum Qualifications:
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Valid US Passport
- Secret Security Clearance (Preferred) OR ability to obtain Secret Clearance
- ATP
- 1000 + hrs Pilot-in-Command
- 300+ hrs GIV time-in-type (preferred)
- Experience with Target Banner Towing, Stand Off Jamming, and Electronic Attack
Work Conditions:
Work is performed in an aircraft with an on-demand flight schedule ranging through all hours of the day. Must be able to do 30 and 60 day rotations CONUS and OCONUS
