Job Description

Have you ever been online trying to pay a bill, and thought to yourself: 'why are you making it so hard for me to give you my money?' That's the problem we solve for mid-market organizations across multiple verticals—primarily utilities, local government, insurance, and consumer finance organizations.

Invoice Cloud's SaaS customer engagement, e-billing, and payment platform helps accelerate collections, improve security, reduce costs, and enhance the customer experience.

As a company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, Invoice Cloud seeks individuals of all backgrounds and experiences to apply for this position. We're creating an environment where everyone can thrive. Our customers are diverse, so we're building a team that is too. Through initiatives like our employee resource groups we are building the cultural foundation that gives people the emotional and physical space to bring their authentic selves to work.

Invoice Cloud is looking for a Growth Product Manager. Your focus as Growth Product Manager will be to build product-led experiences to grow the business. Rather than building new features, as a Growth PM your mandate will be to increase the number of payers that pay bills online via the Invoice Cloud platform. You will seek every day to understand what makes payers tick – what gets them started on our product, what allows them to achieve their objectives, and how to get them to success faster than they would otherwise. You will pair that with an in-depth understanding of our business and will own responsibility for creating and tracking adoption metrics including registration, conversion rates, and time to value. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of these initiatives, and will lead a cross-functional team to drive results. You will operate with a ship-to-learn bias, making decisions using both qualitative and quantitative results, AB testing, and customer/team insights.

What You'll Do

First 30-60 days

  • Gain an understanding of the Invoice Cloud SaaS product – verticals served, payment methods, user flows.
  • Fully understand what it takes from the time a biller signs up with Invoice Cloud to the time the first payer pays a bill.
  • Work with our UX and Marketing teams to create or improve our payer user personas.
  • Review our existing payer-facing data sources, including our internal data and Google Analytics.

60-90 days

  • Stand up a new adoption-focused scrum team.
  • Design and instrument the payer-facing site in preparation for experimentation.
  • Create a process with the scrum team on how to prioritize, implement, and report on progress & learnings.
  • Prioritize the backlog, build team consensus, and lead the R&D team to quickly ship.
  • Educate developers on the overall mission, including the business drivers, and create team alignment and motivation around payer adoption, driving bottoms-up ideation.

Ongoing

  • Lead cross-functional teams to define growth team key metrics and develop a strategy for positively impacting those metrics.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and the R&D team to build an adoption team development roadmap, making sure the sequence is aligned with value creation.
  • Inform product decisions with product instrumentation, AB testing, surveys, and usability studies.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our billers' and payers' workflows, identifying opportunities to improve conversion metrics.
  • Identify adoption improvement opportunities that can be solved without using R&D resources, prioritize them, and work with the appropriate teams to make changes. This includes biller onboarding, biller website optimizations, and other out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Gain a holistic understanding of the payments market to identify disruptive opportunities in payments experience that would drive payments.
  • Build both back-end and front-end solutions to improve payments workflows.
  • Define methods and metrics for identifying success and failure while ensuring the team is clear on their objectives.

Who You Are

  • Thorough understanding, through practice, of product growth mechanics.
  • Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional teams to success, without direct reporting authority.
  • Passionate about playing the role of the product owner on a scrum team.
  • Strong UX sensibilities and comfort with UI best practices.
  • Possesses a true "roll up your sleeves" mentality necessary to thrive on a small team.

What We Seek

  • 5+ years of SaaS product management experience, ideally with product owner responsibilities.
  • Background shipping products quickly and iterating based on their performance.
  • Experienced with use of analytics, user research, and business cases to drive decisions and improve products.
  • Practiced with product management in both a B2B and B2C environment, with e-commerce experience a plus.
