We are hiring for the role of Group Rooms Coordinator. This full-time leadership opportunity is based out of the Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, and offers an excellent compensation and benefits package.
Achieving Excellence:
As a Groups Rooms Coordinator you will report to the Reservations Supervisor. You will bea acting as key contact for Group Sales, overseeing all aspects of group reservations including entering group rooming lists, coordinating group billing, assigning guest rooms based on group requests, and processing any reservation changes prior to arrival. You will achieve excellence by:
- Ensuring all comments, rates, and service charges are accurate for all groups, inclusive of call in reservations, online bookings, and rooming lists
- Coordinate with Sales for any additional resort services required for reservations
- Liaise with accounting for billing requirements
- Monitor group pick up based on contractual agreements and work with both Revenue and Reservations Manager to report on group status
- Assist the Reservations team with making transient or tour reservations as needed
Qualifications:
- At least two (2) years in a Reservations department an asset
- Ability to manage tasks independently with attention to detail and focus on customer service
- Able to take initiative and solve problems
- Build and retain relationships with Sales, Accounting, Event Management and Front Desk teams to ensure smooth operation for Events
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Group Coordination Skills an asset
- Knowledge of Opera an asset
- Business or Hospitality Degree an asset
- Ability to work evenings and weekends where required

Working Conditions:
This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturn in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with employees, guests and other stakeholders. Working both indoors and outdoors in a variety of Mountain weather conditions, with average temperature ranges of -30 C/ -22 F to +30 C / +86 F.
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as employee performance, grooming, training and policy adherence. Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test developed for this job.
