At Shilling Canning Company we focus on local sourcing and careful consideration for how food is prepared, cooked, and served. All proteins are butchered in house, seafood is carefully selected from local fishermen and vendors, soups and sauces are based on the restaurant’s own stocks and artisan breads are baked fresh on-site daily.

Shilling Canning Company is seeking full time Greeter/Host candidates with a great attitude, energy and dependability.

Key Requirements:

  • Regular and on-time attendance
  • Open availability. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience working as a greeter is a plus
  • Must be able to do some heavy lifting

Responsibilities:

  • Greets all guests with a warm smile, leads them to their seats, and provides guests with menus.
  • Prepares the greeter station for nightly service & keeps it organized throughout service.
  • Keeps servers and management informed about any special requests or notes on reservations.
  • Answers the phone, taking reservations, and fielding general questions about Shilling Canning Company.
  • Maintains knowledge of menu items.
  • Handles all guest concerns and complaints in a professional manner and further communicates these to the management team.
  • Thanks and says goodbye to guests on their way out. Clears and resets the table for the next guests.
  • Calls guests to confirm reservations
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
