Your Opportunity

We are seeking qualified applicants for a Graphic Designer within our Water Business Line Marketing group. Our team’s primary focus is winning work related to top, strategic water infrastructure projects, and to assist in marketing communication projects, and deliverables. We are a remote-based team and are looking for a positive team player who is self-motivated, provides quality and competent work, and is committed to teamwork and detailed follow-through. We are looking for a positive team player who is self-motivated, driven to complete projects, needs minimal visual guidance/direction, and enjoys working in a collaborative and dynamic team setting.

Our visual designers work collaboratively within a team setting to design the most strategic proposals and marketing materials to support the company’s brand, image, and reputation. It’s a high-energy atmosphere and we work with technical people to translate their concepts into compelling visuals.

Your Key Responsibilities

In this role, the primary area of responsibility involves the design and preparation of proposals and statements of qualifications, including page layout composition; development of information design, such as infographics, figures, charts, illustrations, diagrams, etc). Our graphic designers work alongside marketers focused on strategic SOQs/proposals range from 15 to 350 pages and project fee values from $1 million to over $100 million. Staying up to date on innovative and creative ways for digital submittals, on-site (or off-site) printing; management and assembly of proposals, presentations and qualification packages, including Standard Forms is part of what we do as a team.

The secondary area is oral presentations. A thorough understanding of various communication delivery methods and techniques is important. For oral presentations we often work directly with the client to create complex PowerPoint presentations involving animation, video or other high-level visual design as well as printed material or other visual aids. Typical techniques we use in planning for these presentations includes live sketching, storyboarding, and generating thumbnail roughs, during client interaction,¬ using whiteboard and/or digital formats. An understanding to teams, zoom and other collaboration platforms is essential.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design skills: Ability to collaborate, discuss, brainstorm and implement complex communication problems with clients and project teams. Large Scale layout. - Execute concept refinements and implementation through use of Adobe Creative Cloud on PC platform; receive and successfully implement art direction. Determine size and arrangement of material and copy, set typography, and arrange layout based upon company visual identity/design aesthetic and knowledge of layout principles.
• Project Tracking: Complete project tracking and ensure that time and materials used are recorded accurately for chargeback to clients.
• File management: Maintain digital files for identification and retrieval later. Deconstruction/archiving of projects and visual elements to the appropriate servers and databases is required.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Must have availability to work occasional scheduled overtime to complete deadlines.
• Travel requirement may range from 1% to 4%
• Must have a visual portfolio that illustrates a fluent understanding of design fundamentals (color theory, typography, space, form, rhythm, composition, etc.)

Education and Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of prior graphics, page layout and presentation experience required; proposal design or A/E/C industry experience is preferred.
• Post-secondary degree in graphic design, art, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Must have working experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), as well as Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Working experience with Prezi, Adobe Animate, Adobe Muse, Adobe InCopy, 3D Max, Digital Publishing Suite and/or After Affects.
