Chief Ethanol Fuels is seeking a Grain Purchasing Assistant to join the Chief team. This position will be responsible for the daily balancing, application and processing of grain receipts.
Experience and Skills:
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Requires knowledge of industry practices, terminology and accounting procedures.
- Previous grain accounting experience is helpful but not required.
- Associate’s level or higher degree in accounting or business preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply daily grain receipts to contracts and process settlements for Hastings and Lexington facilities.
- Update and maintain accurate contract balances.
- Scan and maintain all electronic grain records.
- Work with grain suppliers to ensure adequate inventory is received to maintain maximum production rates.
- Complete and file monthly and quarterly grain related reports.
- Oversee automated scale system and process all non-automated trucks.
- Purchase office supplies.
- Maintain good relations and communications with suppliers, customers, and coworkers.
- Support accounting department and Ethanol division by performing other projects as needed.
