Job Description Summary:
BASIC FUNCTION: Duties vary between the operation of the Bag Drop, Staging Area, Cart Barn, Golf Shop and Starter/Ranger. The Golf Operations Attendant will ensure golfers are welcomed and their bags are properly attended to, maintain an upbeat, positive attitude in the Golf Shop, control the day’s tee sheet and starting times ensuring proper pace of play and guest satisfaction during their round. Staff will be trained in all areas of golf operations including golf shop, tee times, merchandise, bagroom and starter/player assistant. Staff will be expected to help out in any of these areas depending on business needs.Job Description:
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Pleasant personality. Flexible with work schedule. Knowledge of property and surrounding area. PGA certification or in PGA Apprenticeship program preferred Knowledge and understanding of golf preferred Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must meet current MVR guideline for driving of company vehicles
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1.Greet each guest (with a smile and warm welcome) when they arrive, and when they finish their round.2.Clean golf clubs as they come in from a round or practice.3.Keep the staging area stocked with carts.4. Follow the instruction of the Professional Staff during outings and tournaments.5.Check-in and registration of golfers.6.Answer the phones in a courteous and professional manner.7.Book tee times on the tee sheets.8.Operation of the cash registers and associated systems.9.Assist customers with merchandise purchases.10.Assist with merchandise displays.11.Maintain Bag Room and Golf Shop in a neat, orderly manner.12.Start play and maintain the day's tee sheet in a timely fashion, checking receipts to ensure proper payment.13.Make sure golfers are made aware of the pace of play policy, as well as other rules of the day (carts on/off paths, staying away from construction zones etc.)14.Act as the coordinator for the Player Assistants to help maintain pace of play.15.Talk with each group out on the course and make sure they are having an enjoyable experience. Let them know that you are there to help (calling the beverage cart for them, locating lost golf clubs, replacing problem golf carts).16.Practice excellent telephone etiquette (smile in voice) at all times. Be alert, courteous and helpful to guests.17.Maintain the highest level of employee/guest relations.18.Must be well-mannered, greet guests and employees when encountered, and show appreciation to the guest for being at the resort, show willingness to help guests and employees at all times.19.Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments.20.The ability to work various shifts or days of the week according to business needs.21.Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.22.Follow the instruction of the Professional Staff during outings and tournaments.23.Maintain a neat, clean work area at all times.MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
