Job Description
  • Examines and measures completed materials or products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring devices such as tape measures, gauges, or calipers.
  • Adjusts machine components according to specifications such as widths, lengths, and thickness of materials and amounts of glue or adhesive required.
  • Monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions, report or resolve problems.
  • Reads work orders and communicates with coworkers in order to determine machine and equipment settings and adjustments, and supply and product specifications.
  • Fills machine with glue or adhesives materials.
  • Mounts or loads materials in feeding mechanisms or gluing machines.
  • Maintains production records such as quantities, dimensions, and thickness of materials processed.
  • Starts machines, and turns valves or moves controls to feed, admit, apply, or transfer materials and adhesives, and to adjust temperature, pressure and time settings.
  • Performs full line clearance for change over of forms, copies or jobs to ensure all product from previous form/copy/job is off the glue line.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s safety and quality standards, policies and practices.
  • Consistently adheres to all Company standards, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Two years production or manufacturing experience
  • Or a combination of experience and education


Essential duties performed in a production environment with moderate to loud noise, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, vibration and/or chemical odors in areas in which are not climate controlled. Regularly navigate stairs and equipment areas including catwalks surrounding equipment, regular use of hands and arms, while lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. Frequent and extensive periods of standing, walking and kneeling, with regular use of vision, hearing and verbal communication abilities. Requires the use of finger and wrist dexterity for job related tasks with keyboarding and other equipment. Viewing intricate detailed information and documents are essential both paper and electronic.
