Job Description
The Global Talent Acquisition Leader (GTAL) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics will play a critical role in developing and building a global integrated hiring model that support’s BecDx’s aggressive hiring demand inclusive of leveraging an RPO model, the Danaher Life Sciences & Diagnostics Platform Talent Acquisition model and of internal recruitment coordinators and HR Business Partners. The GTAL will design and implement networking and sourcing strategies to proactively create and maintain a pipeline of talent according to business needs for the various functions and geographies. To further support the talent pipeline, the GTAL will oversee the University Relations & Internship strategy and program to support BecDx's “new in career” positions. This role will implement and drive Standard Work to drive performance and lead the team by a set of Key Performance Indicators that are best in class.
This role requires strong influencing skills, an outstanding leadership track record, agile project management skills, excellent communication, solid analytical thinking, and a knack for creativity. In addition, you will collaborate in a globally matrixed organization with Danaher Corporate and the Life Sciences & Diagnostics Platform. Essential Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the global recruiting strategy and roadmap for BecDx: Define and execute the global recruiting strategy and roadmap designed to meet the defined needs of the business, including recruiting, sourcing, and college/new graduate recruiting within the Danaher Corporate/Platform framework.
Oversee and provide guidance to the global recruiting resources to defined performance goals and outcomes: ensure efficient process development and consistent execution for sourcing, recruiting, talent pipeline development, selection and the on-boarding processes; ensure the quality of product and service delivery of the recruiting team and external partners to the hiring managers, HR, business management and applicants.
Develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with hiring managers, HRBP’s, Executives, VP’s and Directors.
Implement and maintain strategic workforce planning to forecast hiring needs ahead of time and cultivate a talent pipeline accordingly to reduce time to fill and improve quality of candidates.
Champion Diversity & Inclusion in all Talent Acquisition Activities and own TA D+I KPI’s.
Develop community relationships and be the brand ambassador – drive community events, build external relationships, and cultivate brand awareness.
Design staffing strategies for proposals to include appropriate networks, advertising and use of social media.
Liaise with the global LS/Dx Platform talent acquisition leadership team to help manage the talent acquisition process vendors (i.e. contracts, service levels and relationship management) while also aligning to TA Platform strategies and operations.
Serve on the LS/Dx Talent Acquisition Leadership team and other business leadership teams to advance the ability of the business to identify, find and acquire the talent required to run the business today and into the future.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or another related field with 14+ years of experience OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience
10+ years of professional experience in Talent Acquisition required.
4+ years of progressive people leadership experience required.
Demonstrable experience building and managing a talent acquisition function in a mid-size/large global company.
Strong preference for corporate environment leading a talent acquisition team and building infrastructure to support the TA function.
Technical proficiency in HR processes.
Business Knowledge – includes value added perspective, financial awareness and cost control, industry knowledge, strategic focus, diverse business experience.
Strong command of Microsoft Office products: PowerPoint; Excel, Word. Experience with Workday HRIS preferred.
Experience of working in a collaborative global matrixed organization.
