AS GLOBAL SALES MANAGER, YOU WILL:

  • Based in Marshalltown, IA, you will lead the Flow Controls business in the pursuit of gaining market share in the Midstream Oil and Gas segment
  • Prepare and negotiate long term customer agreements
  • Manage / supervise employees and provide day to day direction
  • Help direct reports develop their careers
  • Present to management
  • Develop an overall global industry plan including the major accounts, second tier accounts, and OEM’s that focus on profitable global growth.
  • Develop technical / product plans in conjunction with the field sales teams for the major target accounts and leads team reviews / updates of account plans
  • Discover and understand customer’s primary business goals, operations, challenges, requirements, organization and develops sponsorship with key
  • Evaluate and prioritize pursuit strategy. Coordinate efforts across multiple world areas for international projects.
  • Identify and investigate emerging market segments for focused industry segment and develop strategies to penetrate those markets.
  • Identify existing and future / potential product gaps for global industry segment to drive new product development from the product BU's.
  • Analyze competitive strengths/weaknesses and market pricing as it impacts the focused industry segment.
  • Provide direction for independent representatives and direct sales offices with respect to focused industry sales.
  • Utilize influence management to increase world area sales focus on specific industry initiatives for growth.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's Degree plus minimum 3 years' relevant industry experience; or 5 years' relevant industry experience.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% annually (post COVID restrictions) in the United States.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering.

  • Previous Sales Engineering experience in a related industry.

  • Knowledge of control valves and/or process control.

  • Prior experience managing direct reports.
