- Provide leadership, direction and mentorship for Web, Mobile and Desktop development as a cross cutting discipline across products; lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms and devices.
- Deliver a UI platform vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time.
- Build strong relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside their core product team to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive and well-informed.
- Set new standards in executional and operational excellence.
- Advocate for users in a fast-paced, corporate climate, imparting day-to-day design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the user-centric intersection between design, content, business and engineering
- Demonstrate strategy to action identifying strategic and tactical opportunities which drive all aspects of value across networks, categories and brands (e.g. cost, cash, speed, agility, quality, industry & consumer insights and benchmarking)
- Recognize & adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, analysis, validation and documentation
- Work with stakeholders to identify, manage, and evolve relevant dashboards which provide real time performance / KPI optimization capability and create visibility of systemic performance gaps / root causes
- Align systems and reporting globally to ensure efficiency in reporting and a single version of truth
- Lead internal / external cost and technology benchmarking activity through best practice identification and deployment; ensure integration into standards & policies
- Provide leadership and guidance on pragmatic methods for measuring progress and the impact of change
- Create, plan and communicate roadmaps with management, stakeholders and the team
- Works to align business unit goals with company goals, building commitment among peers and subordinates
- Is accountable for making prompt decisions that will have an impact on department/business unit operations
- Ensures team members understand how they/their groups contribute to the company and their latitude for action
- Handles internal crises objectively and considers the facts before reaching conclusions
- Identifies technological and business opportunities that provide sustainable growth, profitability, and dominant market share
- Develops partnerships and understanding of comprehensive business issues to drive creative solutions that address organizational and customer problems
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or MIS required; Master’s preferred
- 10+ years of technical leadership with robust engineering teams
- Experience building and operating sophisticated end-to-end UI/UX
- Deep knowledge of emerging web standards; Web Components, WebAssembly, PWAs, ES10
- Experience developing re-usable, framework agnostic, UI components
- Experience in FinTech and SaaS ecosystems for web product delivery
- Deep knowledge of the google V8 engine and chromium renderer
- Experience implementing design systems, and optimizing designer-developer workflow
- OpenSource contribution a (FinTech, personal projects) a plus
- Experience developing sustainable APIs for visual workflows
- Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Ability to debug large scale codebases using the available tools.
- Collaborative and able to influence across the organization.
- Full stack knowledge of systems fundamentals
- Proven track record of successful collaboration and influencing skills across cross functional organizations
- Experience successfully managing teams and applying Agile methodologies
- Hands on experience with data science project steps including: understanding the business ask, sourcing and extracting the correct data, cleaning and exploration, modelling, reporting, and automation.
- Demonstrable track-record of learning and deep-diving as needed into complex existing and new technologies
- Intense sense of ownership, initiative-taking, and a can-do attitude
Advanced programming skills and comfort with multiple languages - Great attention to detail and a data-driven approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a plan that ensures that the right people are in the right roles at the right time, and that employees are highly engaged and satisfied
- Strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage resources internal and external to the enterprise to enhance capabilities that support business objectives
- Externally recognized authority within the industry
