Job summary: The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Global Employment Program Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will contribute to the creation, development, and improvement of philosophies and approaches to our global employment program. You’ll be a member of the Total Rewards and Analytics team and you’ll apply structured and methodical approaches in the governance of pay practices, job classifications, leaves and absences, and employment practices. As a Global Employment Program Manager, you will partner with Total Rewards program managers and global HR teams to manage local employment requirements to create and deliver solutions that help achieve a positive associate experience and consistency in the delivery of HR services. While this role is posted in Raleigh, NC, location is flexible and qualified candidates across North America or Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) will be considered.Primary job responsibilities:
  • Establish and improve mechanisms and processes for ongoing monitoring of the regulatory requirements for Total Rewards programs, including triggers to initiate reviews and assessments
  • Engage with Total Rewards program managers to understand legal employment requirements, assess program impacts, and oversee change management
  • Be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing processes that are required by local regulations like pre-employment health checks
  • Create scalable HR solutions that balance legal requirements and business needs
  • Consult and partner with global teams to implement global employment approaches and scalable employment solutions, including how policies and programs are implemented in global systems
  • Manage efforts to track and monitor legislative changes, Total Rewards program filing requirements, and compliance driven program implementations.
Required skills:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of demonstrated project or program management experience in HR compliance-focused areas
  • Ability to analyze data and arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action
  • Demonstrated understanding of global employment law and regulations and their impact on business operations
  • Ability to persuade and build credible relationships across multiple functions with global partners at varying levels of the company
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize shifting demands
  • Ability to respect confidentiality within the team and throughout the organization
  • Experience with the development and implementation of HR global programs
  • Detail-oriented with solid research and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both on your own with minimal direction and collaboratively across multiple functions, and to be effective at influencing across virtual and cross-functional teams
  • Solid customer focus
  • Ability to operate at a fast pace in a high performance environment with rapid growth and changing business needs, remaining creative and innovative
