Job Description
The Gift Processing and Agreement Specialist’s chief objectives are to assist the Foundation with creation, review, and revision of new gift agreements and related documentation and to support and assist the Gift Processing and Agreement Manager in processing and acknowledging gifts and any other special projects as needed.
Type of Recruitment Knowledge, skills and abilitiesProficient with computer applications including customer service databases, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Excellent proofreading and editing skills. Good data entry speed and accuracy. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to communicate and work collaboratively across all levels of an organization. Highly detail-oriented with demonstrated effective organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to meet established deadlines, prioritize work, and manage competing priorities. Exceptional customer service orientation. Demonstrated experience working as a team member as well as independently.
Special licenses, registration or certificationNoneEducation or trainingNoneLevel and type of experienceConsiderable knowledge of computer-based, customer driven systems, including both biographical and financial components. Extensive experience in computer data entry as well as customer service/public relations. Some experience with proofreading and editing documents in Microsoft Word. Some experience with drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and agreements.
Preferred knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certificationGeneral knowledge of gift processing, and fundraising. General understanding or experience with processing donations, preferably in a non-profit setting. General knowledge of Crystal Reports and Millennium or another fundraising/constituent database. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or University in Communications or English or comparable program or commensurate experience indicating possession of the required knowledge and abilities. Experience with preparing bank deposits and processing credit card payments.
