Position Overview:
Link eligible homeowners to quality home repair services, weatherization, and energy conservation work while supervising staff that audit, install, repair and maintain the mechanical, structural and exterior integrity of a home.
Essential Job Functions:
- Research client repair history and schedule home inspections
- Performs whole house inspection
- Estimate projects, develop and present proposals
- Determines scope of work and process by which work is to be completed
- Tracks job costs in computer
- Writes and issues purchase orders to vendors and coordinate equipment/material purchases to ensure equipment and/or material specifications, price & delivery is met
- Obtains proposals from subcontractors; selects subcontractor and staff to do the work; coordinates schedule with workers and homeowner
- Monitors production, processes change orders, does final inspections and obtains sign-off from homeowner
- Submits appropriate permit applications and coordinates to completion. Coordinates all inspections.
- Attends safety and production meetings
- Attends job or contract-related training
- Inspects call-back jobs
- Processes appropriate paperwork
- Coordinates daily manpower requirements
- Provides training as needed
Position Requirements:
Demonstrated skill and expertise in a broad range of home repair areas; knowledge of home upgrades, modifications, and enegy conservations; ability to thoroughly inspect and accurately estimate home repair/upgrade needs; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; knowledge of local and state building codes; knowledge of services available at PWC; knowledge of basic computer systems or interest and aptitude in learning computer skills.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four to six years related experience. Demonstrated skill and expertise in a broad range of home repair areas; ability to thoroughly inspect and accurately estimate home repair needs; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; knowledge of local building codes; knowledge of services available at PWC; knowledge of basic computer systems or interest and aptitude in learning computer skills.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
